Tonght's #monsterdon was a blatant attempt to cash in on the "Bridey Murphy" story while throwing in a monster for good measure.

Just two years before this movie. the idea of hypnotic regression into past lives became super popular when a hypnotist convinced some american woman she used to be an Irish woman named Bridey Murphy.

American International films was always ready to jump on a trend quickly to make a quick buck with a cheap movie.

i'm barely aware of what's going on in this movie because it's almost 100% headcanon for me, so the last 7 minutes where they try and close up shop are going to be a wild ride #monsterdon

Leery as I am to accept results from general web search these days, I consulted Green's Dictionary of Slang, both print and online, in hopes of finding an explanation for the phrase "rain on the/your rhubarb" as heard in the 1960 film "Little Shop of Horrors." Leonora, a streetwalker, accosts Seymour several times before finally getting his attention. She asks him if there will be rain on his rhubarb (or perhaps it's "rain on the rhubarb," as my memory is poor). Say what?

"Rhubarb" is 20th century slang for "genitals of either sex.."

Absent finding the specific phrasing, it still seems logical to me that this sense is applicable. It feels akin to "getting one's wick wet" (where "wick" rhymes with "dick").

We may never know for sure, but this feels right to me.
