Anyone who has been interested in jumping in on #Monsterdon I recommend trying it tonight. The movie is fairly OK as far as B movies of this era go, there's nothing gross or really upsetting. This director doesn't always know how to pace things but he's turned in worse.
Fans of #MST3K will remember Bert I. Gordon's other films "Earth vs. The Spider", "The Beginning of the End", "The Amazing Colossal Man", "War of the Colossal Beast", and "Village of the Giants". He liked making big things small, and small things big. You'll also recognize John Agar, John Hoyt, and June Kennedy.

I award The Angry Red Planet 4 out of 5 tentacle monsters, because it was weird and kept me entertained. I was kind of curious what strange thing was going to happen next.
The best character was the spider-bat-cone creature that the puny earthlings cruelly attacked. The worst characters were the earthling boys on the rocket, except for the professor, who died of sadness. Also, I like that the movie had a boat in it. The red color filter was strange.

For those of you who haven't seen the musical version of Little Shop of Horrors, it is playing as a #WrongFrogs second showing on Miru. If you're feeling like another movie, it's quite good and makes a diamond out of the rough rock that is the 1960 version.
Honestly this move is kind of too coherent for #Monsterdon

What a great movie. This is by far the modern goji that I would say is closest to being my favorite if not for the power of the original's messaging (which cannot be defeated IMHO)
I was a little skeptical in the beginning but I really enjoyed the way it developed its characters, made Godzilla truly feel like a menacing threat, and had plenty of good drama connective tissue. And even stayed relatively faithful to the nuclear horror allegory, if not undercut it a fair bit with the militarism.

godzilla has an open circulatory system where lasers are the blood, and laser breaths are emitted in a sort of buccal bumping musculature that exerts pressure on on the whole circulatory system. so when there is a slice in godzilla and he tries to do a laser, it just comes out the slice #monsterdon
