Tommy has grabbed the giant egg and is now using it as a shield to repel the lasers. Eventually the lasers reflect back into Zarkorr and he disintegrates himself.

In the next scene, Tommy is in a hospital bed and Dr. Steph says "you did it you saved the world" and the news person is interviewing him.

Anyway, after our other party members leave, Tommy takes the wheel and floors it into the city where Zarkorr is smashing things. He leaves the car and stares down Zarkorr and yells at him, invoking the ancient code of "come at me bro".

Zarkorr shoots laser at him but misses because his eyeball aim is bad I guess.

The dumb cop baffles the Sheriff with nonsense, and it is super effective. He takes the Sheriff's belt as a trophy and we use it to secure the giant egg into our trunk, because it won't quite fit.

Dr. Steph tries to figure out what they're going to do next, and Tommy, doing his best stoic resignation face, says "I've got it covered. Just get me to Zarkorr."
