#Monsterdon

#Monsterdon forensics montage? finally

THE BREASTPLATE! AND THE BRACELET! #monsterdon

Why does everyone in this movie keep finding ancient terrors from beyond the grave and then just go "huh, that's weird" and leave

#monsterdon

Flora is totally the robot, look how anxious she is getting about being found out.
#monsterdon

They're assembling Frankenstein!

#Monsterdon

Okay good job you also found the mummy, now what

#Monsterdon

we are 44 minutes in and we haven't left this room yet

#monsterdon #TheRobotVsTheAztecMummy

FIVE YEARS AGO!?

#monsterdon

WE WERE STILL FLASHED BACK! #monsterdon

I guess in Mexico, the rule is "Tell, don't show."

#monsterdon

They better get to work on that robot. Just sayin' #Monsterdon #RobotVsAztecMummy

I'm thinking the actress playing Flora was paid by the step #monsterdon

If you do one more fucking flashback I am gonna

#monsterdon #TheRobotVsTheAztecMummy

#Monsterdon 🤖 :AztecCalendar: 👨‍🔬 🗺️ 😱

Wait now they're back in the sitting room and she has the button dress on again so that nightgown sequence was a flashback?

...Yeah

The bat was a graverobber.

???? #Monsterdon

"just in case we end up being murdered"

annnnd im tuned back in

#Monsterdon

Finally back to the present. #monsterdon

almost 40 minutes in and no robot #Monsterdon

it was still a flashback

HOW IS THIS LIKE YOUR LIFE

#monsterdon #RobotVsTheAztecMumny

#Monsterdon Flora: the literal pixie dream girl.

flashback over? #Monsterdon

im not gonna lie

i cant remember what im supposed to be caring about here

#Monsterdon

Open. This is where Pinky dies, yeah?

#Monsterdon

#Monsterdon 🤖 :AztecCalendar: 👨‍🔬 🗺️ 😱

I'm also confused by the untidiness of the ramshackle wooden crosses in the graveyard and wouldn't they prevent the mummy from leaving the crypt because he's really a vampire? And not a bat anymore because that other guy is the bat?

IDK

@SarraceniaWilds they looked like happy little guys #monsterdon

Hey I think I found it, it has a sign

#Monsterdon

This score is trying to Rite of Spring the graveyard #Monsterdon

43 minutes of flashbacks and counting....

#Monsterdon

@moira No please! Just give me the Men in Black flashy thing instead! #Monsterdon

That was a nice bit of music #monsterdon

@jonny Maybe the ones listening forgot to say "Continue" and he's just stuck #monsterdon

bring back the snakes they were cute
#Monsterdon

The cemetery guy's got Shelly Winters' hat. #Monsterdon #RobotVsAztecMummy

How about walking to a masoleum, since that was short it the clue that led you to a cemetery. Maybe, huh?

#Monsterdon

the music score is the monster in this, omg
#TheRobotVsTheAztecMummy #Monsterdon

@CactuarJoe you ask the wrong questions, friend

[blam] [blam]

#monsterdon #TheRobotVsTheAztecMummy

This watchman got knocked out and is just like, "okay, this is fine, back to work"

uh, yeah

#Monsterdon
#TheRobotVsTheAztecMummy

Since this is a Hollywood graveyard I assume it's full of spiders and witches with cauldrons and zombies doing musical numbers or something

#Monsterdon

That's for describing word-for-word the scene we already saw, which I think was a flashback, while also in what I think is a flashback. That puts us like three flashbacks deep #monsterdon

Dude holds a flashlight like a grape. #Monsterdon

ok we haven't popped back to the narration scene in awhile so i am inclined to think we are out of flashbacks??? #monsterdon

Why did she just come downstairs in her pajamas #Monsterdon

@Taweret I don't know. #Monsterdon

When people are distracted watching #Monsterdon
I sneak in and hide one sock from a pair for each hour of running time. :blobCat_evil:

I love reading #Monsterdon toots without watching the movie. It makes every movie sound like the most amazing train wreck. 😁

Aww, now the want to break up.

So sad, I had hi hopes.

#monsterdon

I take it back. I do NOT want an Aztec Mummy Film Festival

#Monsterdon
#TheRobotVsTheAztecMummy

This is a Cliff's Notes of another film, tied in with a new add-on plot

#monsterdon

#Monsterdon #TheRobotVsTheAztecMummy

Opinion: How would I look with one of those mustaches?
Okay, never mind.

#monsterdon

Nooo, not more walking #Monsterdon

Meanwhile on the Planet of the Pandas #Monsterdon

yeah definitely split up. that's the first rule of checking spooky places for monsters

#monsterdon

Just going to casually impersonate the police there

#Monsterdon

@wohali Let's just say every piece of Carrara marble has "Carrara marble" engraved on it in microprint

It would make about as much sense as anything else here

#Monsterdon
#TheRobotVsTheAztecMummy

"Are you the police?"

"Yes!"

"In that case, I didn't see a guy in a hoodie come through the park." #Monsterdon

yes better separate, always a great idea at this point in a short movie

#Monsterdon #RobotVsAztecMummy

"The tough part is yet to come! Now we've got to walk around!"

An actual thing the hero said in this film.

#monsterdon

What even is that haircut? Is he TRYING to emphasize his male-pattern baldness?

#Monsterdon

@msh so fucking good i swear #monsterdon

The Bat? Is that the sudden criminal? #Monsterdon

"You won't recall a thing!"
"Which thing?"
"This whole thing!"
#Monsterdon

#monsterdon ah, police officers famously wear bow ties

The graveyard dude is a lot softer with the good guys than with the villan, It's almost as he knew it's a movie (ish)
#monsterdon

Lowest effort night guard
#Monsterdon

Hey, hi, lackluster cemetery custodian!

#monsterdon

"Are you with the police?"
"Yes my friend"
Shut The Fuck Up. #Monsterdon #RobotVsAztecMummy

Let me see, you found pieces of MARBLE (one of the hardest stones) in her delicate, brand new silk slippers. #monsterdon

How many cemeteries did they actually check? #monsterdon

get back to the beverly hillbilllies, you're on the wrong show

#monsterdon #TheRobotVsTheAztecMummy

@Configures ahhh, yes! The acid battle.
So much happens

#monsterdon

"Hello There!"

It's the reject from the Kung Pow: Enter The Fist dub D: #Monsterdon

oh my god, wait, there he actually is! #monsterdon

@lytta Their lips seem to match the English mostly, though #monsterdon

"You won't recall a thing": Me in 30 minutes.

#Monsterdon

ah, back to the cemetary, is that old man coming back? #monsterdon

nothing has convinced me more than this movie that i need to update my eye prescription WHAT AM I LOOKING AT

#Monsterdon

Why are my slippers dirty?

*checks security camera*

This movie couldn't be made today.

#monsterdon

...unless somebody beat the shit out of him

#monsterdon

I'm only just now noticing that interesting shaved side haircut of his

#Monsterdon

"We must hide everything from her"

"Now kiss me"

OK, I might have made that last part up.

#monsterdon

#monsterdon I hope he sees the robot under the microscope

The professor has the same poster the bad guy had in his lab.

#monsterdon

I don't know what' going on tho

#monsterdon

This guy has some serious abuser vibes

#monsterdon

"It's a very fine quality of marble. I would like to make my kitchen counter from it."

#Monsterdon

How the fuck can you tell it's Carrara marble through a fucking microscope???

#monsterdon

Based on a 64-minute run time, we are now definitely more than 50% re-used footage in this movie.

#monsterdon #TheRobotVsTheAztecMummy

When did a bat become part of this story?
And why is it controlling Flora?
...something something let's go look for the mummy
#Monsterdon

@sean Whaddya mean!? They showed you a whole 'nother movie! 🤣

#monsterdon

#monsterdon Is this movie a big mansplaining? Starting to think this guy is about to break the fourth wall and ask us to install Linux

@Lazarou I hope it'll be Jet Jaguar #monsterdon

oh this piano is GIVING

#Monsterdon

A science person will say whatever horseshit and then say "it is logical". That's how you know it's science. #monsterdon

@Mikal I would almost challenge anyone to come up with a coherent spoiler for this mess

#Monsterdon
#TheRobotVsTheAztecMummy

i wonder if the acting was decent in the original Spanish

#monsterdon
