Have you ever tried to walk in snowshoes? The best part is that you accidentally step on one snowshoe with the other and then you can't pick up your second foot and then you slowly cartoon fall forward and leave a faceprint in the snow

Does anyone ever say, "I want the police, but is isn't urgent. Just, whenever they have a moment, it'd be great if they could come over. Don't bother them if they're busy though. It's nothing, really."

So we're getting this whole-ass mad scientist monologue from Dr. Krupp about how he managed to reanimate a dead human in a robot body; and in the first 45 minutes of the movie we were introduced to a *completely different* mechanism to also defy natural mortality..?

Just throw in a third reason for fun. Random lightning strike, insulted witch, alien technology hopping consciousness between parallel planes of existence. Just totally lean into it. Mortality is a skill issue.
