You know, I thought choosing to be with Miriam even though you'd eventually fade away but not be able to die was a highlight on how eager we are to make lifelong promises when we're young and we don't know what we're promising

But it adds a nice evil dimension to it that they don't get to choose (Sarah didn't anyway), Miriam just takes someone she wants
