orcas vs. octopus is a really bad matchup, completely different predation and defense strategies. the octopus could just go into the rocks and become invisible and wait it out because the orcas are gigantic muscle tubes while the octopus is gelatinous camouflage being #monsterdon

This part of the movie is just Rock Lobster.

Here comes a stingray (Ooh-wah, ooh-wah)
There goes a manta ray (Ah, ah, ah)
In walked a jellyfish
There goes a dogfish
Chased by a catfish
In flew a sea robin (La)
Watch out for that piranha
There goes a narwhal
Here comes a bikini whale

#Monsterdon Interspersed shots of octo-vision and guy fondling harpoon gun fail to build tension. I’m far more excited about seeing the whale fins. Orcas, please save this movie!!

(the youtube version i'm watching has chapter names, and this one starts "Thrilling encounters with dangerous sea creatures..." i think they got mixed up with the chapters from another upload. #monsterdon )

regardless of the octopus we did just watch that dude lose his entire oxygen tank and get crushed by rocks, i don't know anything about scuba but that is not a survivable scuba injury i think. #monsterdon

Bluedepth

There’s almost a Dennis Villeneuve way about this flick. No dialog, just a lot of looking around.
