@socketwench They didn't do enough Austin Powers cryo-stasis gags, though. Despite being dead for like 250 years, Mamuwalde is not phased at all by horseless carraiges, electric lights, funk music, etc.

So we can bring him back in 2024 for the third one and find out if iPhones can photograph vampires. See him unable to unlock an iPhone because it can't see him in facial recognition.

See him unable to enter a hotel room, even invited, because he doesn't know how to load a hotel app on his phone and tap it on the door.

@moira Yeah, but it didn't *seem* like it necessarily worked out that way, though I can't be sure. I thought that it was that she was just less annoying than any of the others he met in this time period #monsterdon

The moral of the story is that you don't really need Mina, Lucy, van Helsing, Mrs. Westenra, Renfield, or Jonathan if you want to make a vampire movie. Just the main dude #monsterdon

That was actually much more watchable than I expected. Campy, sure, and small-budgeted, with all of the limitations that go with that. But at the same time it was clear that everyone involved in the production was taking it seriously, treating the material with respect, not making a teen drive-in splatterfest. Maybe a couple phoned-in performances from some of the lower-billed actors, but for most of them, I actually wanted to hear what they had to say. Not half bad. #monsterdon

I swear this wasn't an intentional bit, but I appear to have bifurcated the thread with this post lol #Monsterdon

I think maybe for the first time since my first #Monsterdon, I successfully kept all of my posts in a single thread!

THE END

The King of Cartoons was a fantastic Count, and there was a more than sufficient level if screaming in this #Monsterdon to live up to its title. Thanks for a great finale to this Halloween vampire series @Taweret !
