the piranhas are doing stuff on dry land now but they don't have the cool legs hinted at in the first movie. they are just lunging at people in an ungainly, rubbery way #Monsterdon

@Harleck Proof of pigeon weaponization? Were they trained to shit bird flu in people's eyes or something?

Also, the polling thing only lets me do four choices :(

Did anyone notice at the beginning, when the backpacking couple were going for a swim, the woman was taking off her shorts and ended up pulling her underwear down, too, at which point, she let out a loud "Whoops!" and pulled them back up quickly.

Was that unscripted?

Weird that the movie had an evil businessman, but he wasn't really that evil, he just acted the stereotype.

It wasn't his fault there were suddenly piranha in Texas. What was he supposed to do?

It's not like in Jaws where experts were saying to close the beach. All he got was a single panicky phone-call from a woman who opens with "I swear this isn't a crank call."

@moira I think the kids' camp scenes were there to contrast with the schmucks-going-down-the-river adventure plot, in that they showed us some potential victims of the bitey fish being likeable.

Aight so that concludes this adventure, which reminds us to... I guess try to stop the government from breeding mutant killer bitey fish as a weapon of warfare and terror. If you can. I guess that's a big ask.

If you can't do that, at least try to not release those killer fish into a river, or worse yet, the ocean.

Anyway, thanks to @Taweret@octodon.social for hosting!
