What's the matter, Lucy? We just watched *checks timer* three solid minutes of actual dead people staring lidlessly into the camera, can't imagine what's got you spooked. #Monsterdon

Oops! Sorry, @Victorsigmoid! I did not mean for every single one of these posts to be in reply to you. I wasn’t paying attention. Sorry!

Edit: I’ve edited all the posts, so they're no longer replies to you. Terribly sorry to spam you like that!

@xavier_hm We all simultaneously watch a dated film @ 9PM EST on Sunday evening (USA east coast time), usually one with monsters in it.
Except for the month of October, @Taweret , creates a poll for people to vote on Mondays, for which monster movie we should view. For October, the movies were pre-selected to have a vampire theme. We use the #monsterdon hashtag while commenting on the movie so that those who don't participate can mute the hashtag, and the discussion.

For those of you scrolling through your timeline, you're about to hit a big mass of Monsterdon postings about Nosferatu (1979).

Should you not wish to read through them, here's how to filter them out, at least on the web browser:
1) right click on the gears & open in a new tab
2) choose "Filters" then "Add New Filter"
3) give the filter a title, check all boxes under contexts, choose hide completely and put "#Monsterdon" in the keyword box.
4) Click on "Save New Filter"

... and you're done.

Very visual, high creep factor with a side of ick. Extra helpings of plague when the plot wanders off in a brain fever.

Dracula comes off as more desperate and burned-out than monstrous. It still works.

"Twas Beauty killed the Beast" was not quite the punch line I was expecting.

All and all, a big thanks to @Taweret for challenging expectations with tonight's choice.

Huh

Well, definitely better than a typical #Monsterdon in some respects (including length (wait no that's not "better")) but it also cut off right before Lucy got to start doing something actually interesting so idk 🀷

Anyway thanks @Taweret for hosting and everyone for posting!

And we have slammed the coffin lid on another successful #Monsterdon! Thanks @Taweret for hosting and organizing! Bizarre and ultra-symbolic and very ratty, and I’m very glad to have watched it just for the surrealism. Thanks to so many hilarious commentators, to the point where I couldn’t keep up and will probably keep liking and boosting for the next half hour!!

β€œthe plague” was a better story about plague and β€œdracula” was a better story about dracula but neither of them had a cool shot of a boat in a canal so i’m glad I watched #monsterdon

Well everyone, thanks for a great evening. Amazing film, not a lot of yuks, but enjoyable and creepy.

See y'all next week I hope! And thanks again to @Taweret and @cheribaker and everyone else for making it super enjoyable.

i didn't really follow the last part with the sacred circle and why he is dracula now but hey at least with dracula being the real estate agent we won't ever have to worry about his housing again
