#monsterdon This movie had more of a disco soundtrack and the sword fighting 'ting' sounds made me keep looking at my phone for messages. Here's what I'll do- I'll restart this one and cut over to beastmaster at 1:05, it'll be fine I'm sure

Dreadful. Dull. Bad music. Bad writing. Bad acting. Bad sound effects. Bad special effects. Mostly bad sets, if you can call random smoky woods sets.

I got up late, haven't been commenting on Hawk the Slayer, but no joke this is one of my favorite fantasy movies. It has so little budget, but it's willing to do *anything* just like a D&D party. Hawk isn't the most emotional dude but he rides & fights OK. Giant & Dwarf are the *best*. I often had half-giants in my old D&D campaigns. The nuns, like all Clerics, are fucking useless. Synth soundtrack's kick-ass.

Old Man Palance is miscast as "brother" but still cool.

And so Hawk, we meet at last, for the first time for the last time. You are by brother's cousin's uncle's former roommate.

Jack Palance is having an absolute blast in this movie. I feel like he's just cutting loose here, acting like an absolute maniac and throwing accents around right, left and centre.

I really expected a dart to come out of that reed, not half a ton of silly string. Fair point to you movie for catching me completely off guard.
