Anyway, the boy scientist concocted a plan to lure the Godzilla to a trap with a giant pile of fish, which the army has surrounded with guns.

I like the logistics of the scientist getting the soldiers to help him open the manholes so the dinosaur will smell the bait. That's a nice touch of logistics weird.
