Instead, filmmakers took the footage of the cargo retrieval ship, and of the spaceship docking from the movie Android (1982).

And the footage of Ug's ship at the end is reused from Critters 2: The Main Course.

What I’m getting from the making of is that Rupert the director decided he didn’t really want to make a critters movie and the producers ran out of money for much critters at all all part of Rupert’s plan and got to pretty much make his alien knockoff as intended.

this is the director's only directing credit. he's been producer on a lot of movies (including critters 1, 3 & 4), but this is the only one he directed

Anyway, that was Critters 4, the last Critters film to star Charlie.

As others have said, it felt like the Crites were a last minute add on, and as such it didn't really deserve the Critters title.

It was still fun to watch will you all, so thank you for that.

And regardless of what we watch next I'm sure we can find something worse.
