#monsterdon I can't decide if I like this photographer guy or not. He keeps swinging back and forth from complete asshole to defender of the unhoused.

"You go by the name of being alive! And you are dead! They have the power to shut the sky!"

Excellent dialogue, no notes.

Fun fact: they originally planned to call this C.H.U.B. but it was rejected by the MPAA.

#Monsterdon I believe I watched an alternate version of C.H.U.D. in 1985 (or 86). I saw two differences: first, when Lauren cries for help at the apartment window, somebody screams back "call the Ghostbusters!". The other one is a scene showing some surviving CHUDs walking down a street, and the movies credit starts rolling. Is my memory playing tricks on me?

Anyway, great Monsterdon pick!

I love these characterizations. They're goofy, but quite believeable in this movie's fiction.

Anyway, A.J. is walking around in a basement. I'm sure he'll be fine, though.

So are the C.H.U.D.s alpha-emitters? The NYPD crowd-control flamethrower gear isn't rad-hard, surely, so we can rule out gamma for sure.

Maybe it could also be some gas that emits betas, too, but seems the focus is on alphas with this gear.

so now the sewers are full of gas, there's a bunch of cops standing around doing nothing, and our three """""heros""""" have to explain to the authorities why they shot a high level bureaucrat. no problem. #monsterdon

Vehicle crash go BOOM I think it was a prerequisite for movies and TV in the 1970s and 1980s to normalise the Ford Pinto or something I dunno #Monsterdon
