$2000 for a rose parade float, you can tell this movie wasn't made recently...

(when I lived in Pasadena I got some free grandstand seats one year, the parade is amazing and also obviously extremely expensive to compete in)

This movie was famously made for under $30,000 (according to Corman) with primary shooting taking two days and one night.

Really, though, there were reshoots later and Charles Griffith and Mel Welles had interesting adventures doing exterior shoots, spending $1,100 on 15 minutes worth of exteriors. (Stay tuned to this trivia thread for details)
