It seems to have many messages, none of them good.

The large spider met a predictably disgusting end.

But at least Barbara Hale, better known as Della Street on Perry Mason got to be an action hero astrophysicist, and survived. Neutron bomblet notwithstanding.

For those of you scrolling through your timeline, you're about to hit a big mass of Monsterdon postings about The Giant Spider Invasion (1975).

Should you not wish to read through them, here's how to filter them out, at least on the web browser:

@jadebees that's a valid take. I was thinking he was there to add an (optional) Christian framing to the movie. Like it gave you the options of viewing the events from a religious lens with the preacher or a scientific lens with the astrophysicists.

In other news, it looks like the local tv intro was “Son of Ghoul” from Akron, Ohio. Can’t find when that show played Giant Spider Invasion, so not sure about the date. #monsterdon

The moral of the story is you might think a movie with William Shatner vs. a bunch of invading spiders is a terrible idea, but that isn't anywhere near as bad as things can get #monsterdon

The end of this movie was like when you're remodeling your home. At some stage the producers just got fed up and said “let's call it a day and roll the credits”. And that was it.
