While the angry mob is being unhelpful, the Professor arrives and has a nonsense word duel with Wilbur, which causes the later to burst into flames and fall into the sea.

Then pink smoke poofs around Nancy and we see a weird medusa-head looking thing briefly appear within it and disappear. Nancy wakes up and is confused, so the Professor explains to her that Wilbur's dad was an alien but now Wilbur is dead.
