FTR, the new RL Stein Pumpkin head isn't terrible. It isn't great, but for a kid's horror movie it's solid, with some good twists and an ending I didn't see coming.

I dunno if it's worth seeking out, but if you've got kids looking for a horror movie or you want a decent bad movie night pick, you could do a hell of a lot worse.

(Don't take my word for the kids thing; watch it yourself before you show your ten year old. I'm just some random Owlbear on the Internet. What the hell do I know about parenting human cubs?)

No coffee (possible apple juice at breakfast), no smoking. And almost unbelievable for an 80s horror movie, no nipple flash. Lovable old swamp hag (with her pets). A bit of depth to the characters. And, best of all, the dog lives.

That movie did not disappoint. The monster was incredible. Pacing spot on. Just the right low-budget aesthetic and nonsensical choices.
