Having failed to recruit the gameshow host scientist and boomer programmer scientist to his adventuring party, Sunglasses Scientist meets a cowboy and tries to convince him to join for the glory of the science.

The cowboy agrees, having recently watched a King Kong movie, thus proving how makes people more willing to um... I guess do science or something. Yeah, go us!

The scene switches to an RV trip to those desert mountains where we found the freshwater octopodes.

In the puffer fish laboratory, Sunglasses Scientist meets with a chief scientist who looks like a gameshow host and another scientist who looks like a boomer computer programmer. He tells the gameshow host scientist and the boomer programmer scientist that the octopuses are SUPER SPECIAL and we should study them for science. I'm not sure if he has funding any more though, the gameshow host needed to buy more goats or something.

Starting my thread for , a 1971 movie that I assume is the prequel of that one video game where an octopus is a dad and has to carry babies around or something.

Perhaps the real monster was the kaleidoscope filter all along.
