Fine dining tonight on #Monsterdon, fun to watch this one again.

I must stress that if you haven't seen John Carpenter's work before and you liked the cut of this movie's jib, you should *really* go check out his other stuff. He's like no other.

And so they fucked off to the lobby to get themselves a snack. I don't think John Carpenter gets enough credit for forecasting the effects of Facebook on society.

That was fun, fam. It's always great fun with you buds ripping on movies, whether they deserve it or not. I know this movie has its fans, but the Owlbear is not among them. I prefer my Carpenter movies to be more The Thing or Big Trouble in Little China - or Assault on Precinct 13, which is... Well, art, really.

Anyway, that'd be it for me. Take care of each other. Be kind, spread love, watch Robot Monster.

Goodnight.

I watched a Chinese film last nnight called I Love Maria from the late 80's. A lot of the violence is extra comic book-ey, but some of it is pretty graphic. A lot of slapstick comedy and futuristic sci-fi. Tsui Hark produced/directed/wrote and stars. I liked it, but I can tell it won't be for everyone.

He defeated the lock on the steering column so easily, I didn't know they made Hyundai Elantras back then.

That door has hyperhydrosis, it just needs some botox and it will be much more comfortable and not squirming all the time.

A typewriter?

God, he's worse than George RR Martin

I swear so many of the #Monsterdon movie plots would turn out better if the Male Main Character just listened to the Pretty Smart Woman when she explains what’s going on in the beginning of the movie

I tried lsd and shrooms once each. On lsd the hallucinations were objects that were there sort of moving/reshaping. On shrooms they were things that weren't there. REAL hallucination. Never tried either again. Sorry for the novel. I'm mega baked.

Why exactly does the insurance adjuster have a squeaky horn in the glovebox of his car? That seems a little implausible. A whistle, even a flare gun would make more sense.

It's a good extended bit to have him smear ink on his face and not notice for this long.

This movie REALLY understands the casual horror of hyperfixation.
