As a huge fan of Godzilla, it's really a shame this movie didn't age well. Looking back on it now after not seeing it for probably a decade or so it really was a bit of a slog. That's a shame, it could have been something really good with some better writing and a little more heart thrown into it.

#monsterdon The whole "Gene, where you going, I need you" was kind of a bad look considering real Gene _literally_ phoned in his review from the hospital, recovering from the surgery on the brain tumor that later killed him- to say that the least you could do with a petty spite character like this is have them killed by the monster. Just an absolute king, going out at the top of his game.
