Asagi would still be skiing if her friend hadn’t messed up her leg, right? She hasn’t committed to this psychic friend of Gamera thing. #monsterdon

Well that was fast. Sendai already has air pods.
I love it that this is a winter monster movie. So much snow. Big coats.
The old Showa Gamera movies were mostly filmed in the winter, including cold studios were you could see the breath of the actors in space ships and on an alien planet.

so if i am following, the bugs need to eat computers which makes them fart oxygen which they use for flight, and they talk by hacking electromagnetic radiation. i am like hold on maybe we can figure something out with the bugs we have much to learn #monsterdon

im not participating in #monsterdon tonight but i saw a post about blasting spores everywhere. here's some info on that if anybody's interested.

so that isn't even the only concern if you're trying to destroy a mushroom by blowing it up. spores are just how they do sexual reproduction. the mushroom fruitbody itself is just specialized mycelium. blowing it into a million pieces just creates a million inoculation points for clones of itself to take hold.

and that's kind of an advantage for it because, and now we're getting into the weeds a bit, because a single fungal organism grows to maturity when 2 spores mate. so all those spores would create lots of different fungal bodies all competing for resources. whereas a million tissue clones will grow back together into an even bigger stronger singular fungal body if the mycelium all manages to find each other again

long story short: by blowing it up you may have just made it bigger and stronger.
