My #Monsterdon instance is back up. 🎉

I had prepared some animal details for everyone.

Many of the creatures seen killing in #Frogs1972 are *not* native to Florida nor even associated with that many crimes.

There are lizards from Argentina, a cool looking gecko from Central America and even the Cane Toads, which may have been present in FL at the time, are from Central America.

Ironically, the lizards and geckos are *now* seen in Florida due to being escaped pets.

@Louisa That one wrestled the shotgun away from the youngest child, forced them all to get out, and drove away. They were then all killed by caterpillars, with the exception of Sam Elliott in his impenetrable denim armor. #monsterdon

From Wikipedia: "In pre-release prints, Iris (Holly Irving) died by being pulled into quicksand by a giant butterfly, rather than by snakebite"

WHY DID YOU CUT THIS, THAT WOULD'VE BEEN AMAZING #Monsterdon

#monsterdon Well, I think that *could* have been a decent movie if they'd leaned into a sort of Yellow Wallpaper thing, with the frog croaking slowly driving people mad.

I'm glad to see an early Sam Elliott film. He played that Sam Elliott character well. It was a very Sam Elliott take on Sam Elliott.

But... he really needs that stache.

I'm just assuming the frogs crawled inside every open hole on the Old Bastard and hollowed him out from within.
In much the same way old sailors used to butcher Whales, through the anus first....

They should have to credit every animal who co-starred in this picture. Those water monitors were compelling! The frogs were very believable! The snapping turtle of death was truly terrifying!

Much better acting from the critters than from any of the humans.

thank you @Taweret @Cherizilla @JoeWynne and all you find #Monsterdonians for making this a fun adventure!

Hug a frog/gecko/water monitor/snakeroo/tarantula/killer snapping turtle for me if you can!

And… Grandpa would’ve been fine if everybody else hadn’t left. But he was an asshole, so anyway.

Legitimately cannot decide if that ending counts as abrupt in my book.

This was a really good #Monsterdon pick. Not so bad that it isn't any fun to watch it, but not particularly good anywhere through except in fits and starts, and in its individual acting.

Have a nice night, y'all!

Well, unlike many of the people in that movie, we survived. Thanks @ryan for the stream and @Taweret, as always, for hosting!

I kind of want to see an edit that is just the animal footage, with soothing music overtop.

Well I think the Animals were in control of the whole game from the start, props to the Frog General whose master plan really put's Humanity's schemes to shame.
MVP to the Mocking Lizards, for the Chemical Attack and Boat Sabotage.

Grampa is the kind of guy who converted all his wealth to cash, put it in the house, and would burn it all to spite his "disloyal" family. Got it.

This film should have been entitled "Bad Acid Trips, or: The Disapproval of the Frogs" (1972)
