Afterward, we are the science factory, which has an aquarium, and multiple science masters have been summoned to gawk at the hand. In the aquarium, the dude talks about the cool lungfish in the aquarium and how its a bridge between Fish and Man. Then he talks about how we'll go to other planets one day and we'll need science for that.

One of the science masters is actually a banker in disguise, and he decides to bankroll their river expedition to look for more web handed friends.

Personally, I think this was actually a decent film. Of its time, definitely, and the score was … intrusive. But the pacing was decent, the plot mostly made sense (aside from the monster’s motivations, but those are rarely a focus), and some of the performances were quite good. I can see why it’s considered a classic of the genre (and, indeed, an important milestone in the “monster boyfriend” subgenre). #monsterdon

Y'know, jokes aside, this is one #Monsterdon movie where I have sympathy for both sides, monster and humans.

I know we're supposed to pick the Creature's side (and Mark is definitely a villain, though not the mustache-twirling kind), but ... the only thing I have against them is clunky dialogue.
