I saw this in the theater. It came out right at the start of summer. I had just finished 8th grade and I was SO excited. We didn't have any public buses yet where I lived so I rode my bike to the theater. Fond memory of a guilty pleasure of a film.

It's a unique way of capital punishment. Just yeeting your problem into the sea. Buhbye babycakes…

Okay, we know that the Kraken wasn't part of Greek mythology. The Isle of the Dead wasn't either, according to Wikipedia (I had only known it as a Roger Zelazny novel). Anything else?

I like being reminded how many of these characters became constellations. Way too many visible stars in the versions they showed.

well the effects were amazing but it was a LOT of incredibly boring story to sit through. i kept baffling at why this was shown in schools but let's be real - it would fit perfectly in an american 'world history' middle/high school class because it reinforces white western values and portrays white mythology as literal fact lol

thanks again to @Taweret and see yall next time!!! #monsterdon

@Newpa_Hasai To be fair it is very easy to miss things... although I can't think of anything in the movie that would check off any of the squares that'd give you bingo

Fake-out death is covered by the owl in the river, I think, but it's not in the right spot

I wonder if I will ever watch this will the sound turned on again *_*

I have this expanding list of "stuff that is just for no sound with music or whatever"

idk maybe i'm just glad that not everything is a fetish movie now. I mean, through much difficult and ongoing labor.
