You know, this is actually better than I expected. The movie, I mean, not my phone dying.

That guy uncocked his pistol. That's rare in movies. Usually, they rack 'em and then walk around like that's okay.

The fact that this movie plot set up the couple as temporarily subletting, to make their living situation clear when they talked about selling the inherited suburban house (or not), is like water in the desert to me, a #Monsterdon watcher

#monsterdon C.H.U.D. is a 1984 movie and Marianne Jean-Baptiste's film debut was in 1991, so unlike the Oscars, there's no way she could have been snubbed

Whoever made John Heard's blue shirt really made some poor choices: world's tiniest collar, cut so it's short and kinda weirdly a-lines down over what appears to be a beer belly...I'm just happy they're not shooting it from lower angles.

@akamran aha!

It varied by state. Texas was 1979, New York was 1984, Indiana was 1988. The last four states to go to a quarter were Arkansas, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont, which all went in 1997.

Don't know the years for all the other states (California was before 1987), but Canada was around 1981.

So this was released in 1984, so it could have been either, depending on when it was filmed!
