Props for a box with knobs on it labelled in sharpie, as is proper for electronics experimentation.

Hey, is this that music where we get to do The Twist again?

For those of you scrolling through your timeline, you're about to hit a big mass of Monsterdon postings about 4D Man (1959) and the second, Wrong Frogs feature.

Should you not wish to read through them, here's how to filter them out, at least on the web browser:
1) right click on the gears & open in a new tab
2) choose "Filters" then "Add New Filter"
3) give the filter a title, check all boxes under contexts, choose hide completely and put "#Monsterdon" in the keyword box.
4) Click on "Save New Filter"

... and you're done.

#monsterdon the lab tech who creeped on Linda at the beginning and then spilled the secrets looks like an actor and I can picture his face but can't remember where I've seen it, and it's killing me

Law & Order maybe?? Dang it

It's a bit of a trope, isn't it? The little girl wandering past, and interacting with, the monster at his most lethal moment?

We've seen that in earlier main-character-becomes-villain movies. I'll be watching for that scene in future features.

@Louisa like that kind of makes Tony the real genius in the family (and got doted on or something for it) and Scott's competent and actually does the work but still feels inferior and frustrated and that'd be okay _except_ Dr. Cronkite or whatever keeps taking that away too, right? that makes some of what we see make more emotional sense to me anyway

Our hero has fucked off into a wall, possibly to bleed to death from his obvious bullet wound? Unclear? Anyway. This one was my last one from home for a while, so I'm looking forward to having to scoot my phone under my office monitor stand when there's boobies. Goodnight #monsterdon, give thanks to @Taweret who makes the organizing happen, and see y'all next week!

So Jellyfin just goes from one film to the next. And thanks to alphabetic sorting it went from "4D Man" to Airplane (1978). And now that's what we're watching for a little while...

I guess it helps to make your movie under a major studio -- you get access to a good music department and a host of character actors.

Everything but someone who could punch up the script.

I did appreciate seeing character actor Guy Raymond though, a staple of my TV watching youth.

That wasn't a great movie, but it wasn't terrible. We have definitely watched worse!

(But have we _heard_ worse? DUN DUN DUNNNN)

Wow, that really was something. What, I don't know, but something.

Thanks for making a boring movie with the most ill-conceived soundtrack maybe in history fun. Y'all are the real 4D folks, and the Owlbear loves you.

Take care of each other. Be kind, spread love, and listen to better jazz.

Goodnight!

Well that had moments that were really good. The music is gonna be stuck in my head for days. But it was very slow to start. Most of the 4D effects that were camera tricks and not just green screen wear great.
If it wasn't for Linda at the end there I'd probably say this was the worst movie we've done this year. But it's just fine if mostly dull.

β€œYou didn’t hurt me! Nothing can hurt me! You didn’t hurt me! Nothing can stop me now!” one can only assume an impressionable young lad named Trent Reznor got some of his first lyrical inspirations from watching this #Monsterdon
