Love the outfit of the technicians, it's a nice cross between aluminum foil and plastic film.

I suppose our moon base dome is just chemtrails…? LOL. That won’t go well with the conspiracy nuts!

While loading tonight's #monsterdon on Tubi I noticed there was an mst3k of it as well (or possibly the 1936 version, but I think this one is more likely). Need to check that out later in the week

Ok, OKAY, I was 100% sure of one thing in this movie

That they set up the pointless "we found some orphans -> we can't save them -> we'll come back later" scene so they could end the movie with one triumphant shot of the ship landing on Earth again and all the kids cheering

And yet,

#Monsterdon

Omus is looking exactly like me the last time I tangled with systemd unit files. "Why are you doing this to me?? I am your creator!!" Big oof buddy

I'm really getting down watching this movie. I really don't have any hope for our heroes. The situation looks impossible to overcome.

I’ve reached the interpretive dance section with the classical dramatic music. And space farts. Hot blue space plasma farts.

Bluedepth

I love the idea of an executive office chair with seatbelts. LOL.

Bluedepth

at least it mocks physics in an acceptable way.

I see, the cast from Village of the Damned. Also, anyone catch that out of control Kettle drum player?

This is how far in the future, and this jeep still audibly runs on an internal combustion engine? BLEAK. Bleaker than civilization-ending robot wars.

(This ghillie-suited raccoons lurking in the corner of every scene are _killing_ me. Please never tell us who or what they are.)

Lol, radiation sickness is more than headaches, we want to see fluids

Nobody is that fussed Sparky can manipulate spacetime like a god.

Instead of using his powers though, Sparky sits in the back seat of a jeep while Jason drives like a boy trying to show off

Bluedepth

all sci-fi and horror movies involve very off humidity controls. Alien, The Fog, this movie. So much fog.

Look at that little spaceship model! I love a good practical miniature effect.

@bunnyhero actually The Day The Earth Stood Still would be a great candidate, it's so earnest that it instantly ends up being hilarious

OK so bad guy who also had a drug monopoly tried an insurrection on Moon Washington then...

some stuff happened ... somewhere in the bush outside Winnipeg where dorky robots with dinky arms wrecked everything a few years ago...

and...there were sick kids...and the went to some quarry near Sudbury or something...and the bad guy blowed himself up and we brought the last bit if Important Medicine with us for the kids

THE END

That sure was a #Monsterdon of some kind...thanks again @Taweret entertaining if kinda pointless LOL

So!

With Delta 3 and its Radix factories destroyed, our heroes return home with a limited supply of the lifesaving drug. The Moon Colony quickly falls to infighting over the quickly dwindling medication, eventually leading to civil war. With no one who knows how to synthesize the drug and not enough social stability to figure it out, civilization collapses and humanity dies out.

Cue the triumphant tuba music! #Monsterdon
