Continuing his plotline of being Heedless of Human Life, Quarty wants to rush into the ambulance and interrogate the injured Victor to find out whatever space mystery has swallowed the other two astronauts, but Victor can't really talk other than whispering "Help Me!" which is a reasonable thing to say inside an ambulance I guess.
