"What happens if I fail?"

"Well, then, we'll all just sail on past and die."

"That's it? No invasion anyway?"

"You should know full well that we have banned planning for the future!"

"Why am I doing this, then?"

"For Monsterdon of the 21st century!"

"Hail Monsterdon!"

"You know, I think that creature was friendly..."

Maybe, but then you dropped the part about how he was part of an invasion force, so a bit muddled ending there.

Oof.

Space never looked like that, even back in 1951, except in cartoons, high-priced CGI team.

This was the sort of movie that makes me respect the vital paper mache industry, dry ice, and also shadows.

Turns out it's pretty annoying to have these humans always sneaking up on you and turning off your air supply. Screw it might as well eff off back into space and freeze to death

THE END

Abrupt, pointless ending. Well done #Monsterdon ...well done

Thanks for hosting @Taweret I wanna go have some tea and maybe go walk in the fog of the Moors now

#monsterdon Thanks to Taweret and Cherizilla and Joe Watching for hosting, etc.! This movie fucked off into the fog/outer space and now it is mercifully over.

And thanks to @miru for the enjoyable jazz interlude between the movies.

I'm enjoying not having to attempt the "hit play at the same time while I'm easily distracted because I'm me" your feed provides.

The moral of the story is that one should avoid being seduced by black and white productions from the 1950s and see if we can get back to an era where they could afford actual effects and stuff #monsterdon

You'd better believe if I had a gas mask that was the difference between life and death, it would be harder for enemies to turn on and off and my hand would find it in 0.025 nanoseconds rather than creeping towards it like a drugged spider.
