She's not thinking clearly! She's in an altar'd state

Elizabeth and Armitage do an investigation at the doctor's office. The doctor explains that the grandfather delivered Wilbur, not the doctor, so I guess the opening sequence was Wilbur being delivered.

We get a sepia tone flashback where the Grandfather summons the doctor to the mother's bedside, where her insides were torn up and her mind was destroyed, so naturally she lives now in the Small Town's one padded cell.

Props to the Professor for telling the doctor the ancient lore from the spooky book about aliens who used to be on earth but can be brought back via magic rituals.

While the blonde 70s lady uses the bathroom, Mr. Mustache goes to make her a cup of tea and then... um... sabotage her tiny car? I think? Then she looks into a green fish-head shaped crystal and sees the ocean and the shore. At least I think that's what happened, maybe only the audience saw the ocean but she didn't. And then he finishes making tea and pours a suspicious powder into her cup. Which is why you should perhaps not accept unopened drinks at a suspicious mansion.

@miru threw to such a jaunty little ditty... that was delightful. Epic Old Ones horror and then... JC Penney's happy shopping ditty. LOL.

Awww... the pink cloud of gay agenda is dissipating. Ah well, no circuit parties for you.

The Professor and Doctor have driven to the farmhouse, where the farm couple was eaten by a color filter. An angry mob has beaten them on to the scene, and they are blaming Wilbur's family on this (correct) but based on no evidence that they have (incorrect).

In a farm house somewhere, two townsfolk characters are having dinner and then their horse and cows start freaking out, I guess because there's a tentacle monster in the neighborhood now. Their dog goes to helpfully bark at it. The farmer guy tries shooting it with a shotgun. Then the farmer girl calls for help on their old timey telephone. But it is all for naught, for a color filter then eats them.

Meanwhile, how's it going at the Library?

Dewey Decimal system is slowing down the defence against the Old Ones.

Nancy discovers the secret upstairs room and opens it and then she is attacked by a psychedelic technicolor hentai tentacle monster.

Those birds... They act like my friends. But they never caw me back

I like how the Small Town Doctor's Office has one padded cell with one extremely unpadded cot in it.

She's wracked with the lunacy that comes from watching too many modern drug commercials. Xyplexia may cause one or more of the following: Old Ones, New Ones, Plastic Warp, TB, Irrational Pregnancy…. now, to launch Lavinia, we just hand her a bottle of Scope without any explanation and.... THERE SHE GOES! (maybe she'll fetch the coffee)

The professor and Nancy's friend ("Elizabeth") did a sidequest to the newspaper factory to learn that Wilbur used to be a child. Then Wilbur and Nancy walk around town and he explains his great-grandfather was hung at a tree that used to be in town, which she finds morbid. Wilbur explains that they hung him for not believing in god or devil but rather for believing in a superior species of ancient space gods that used to rule the world before. ok.

After Nancy goes to bed to dream about water and spooky trees and being fondled at a picnic by LSD mimes, the Grandfather character talks to Wilbur and is like "who is the girl! what if she goes upstairs beyond our secret door?" and Wilbur is like "she won't" and then we see Nancy dreaming that she's running away from crazed shirtless hippies.

Maybe it's time to throw out that jello mold.

I'm just realizing now that every guy in this movie looks like they are in a 70s porn with a "story".
