So we can get more antics, the journalist lady and her partner go to interview another science master. we know the following things about the science master:

1) he does not want to be photographed
2) he has pet mice
3) he thinks that polynesia used to be a big continent that sank like atlantis; while this is somewhat silly, because this is a kaiju movie he is probably right in this universe.

We now get Mothra's made-up country, Rosi-something or other, which is like a nonsensical cross between the USA and the USSR that are doing atomic testing and own the "Infant Island" where the crashed sailors lived.

If you're watching the Japanese version, their ambassador shows up and speaks in very... measured Japanese; probably transcribed for the actor.
