Wow, an impromptu #monsterdon double-feature. #CatWomenOfTheMoon was actually better than #MissileToTheMoon. The remake kept the worst bits and did away with the interesting plot of the first one. And all of it with the same wooden acting...

Well, I don't know about you, but I enjoyed this unofficial Monsterdon double feature. A lot of these movies were shown as double features, too, especially as a lot of them were drive-in fare.

I cannot really decide which of these movies I liked less. MISSILE TO THE MOON had better production and the writing was more consistent, but the things suggested by its narrative were much less interesting than CAT WOMEN OF THE MOON (seriously, the all-female telepathy thing was just outright dropped?!)

Ah, well, it was fun seeing how the two compared.

I hate to say it but it is a Bechdel pass, Alpha and, uh, Lido 1's struggle for the throne probably qualifies.

Of all the improvements over the previous movie they could have easily made, they did none.

@moira genuinely bad, worse than the previous, except for the gumbies and the spider, those were the true heroes of the movie #monsterdon

In fact, I would say that was _actually worse_. Amazing.

Now we just need the third retelling to complete the real Cardassian literary experience.
