Kid seems very attached to the monster who he exclusively knows from mass-frying his entire village so hard that he had to get picked up by a "US" submarine.

Usually in a bad kaiju movie I make a joke along the lines of "hey now, be nice, somebody worked really hard on those models... no wait never mind" but dang, this time the model work is really impressive (with the possible exception of the off-the-shelf tanks in the first engagement), especially for the time #Monsterdon
