#monsterdon Okay if that doesn't work we'll pull out a piano, then a giant anvil.

Then they push the burninating coffin off another castle wall, then I assume they kick his burning corpse all the way to the sea where he fucks off, because the last frame of the film said "fin"

Another #Monsterdon is in the can!

Thanks to @Taweret for hosting!

Tonight's feature, #CountDracula is from 1970, and was the first of this month's #70sDracula jubilee! We had fangs, hangs, and whole shebangs, along with:
- Plastic spiders!
- Plastic bats!
- Lots of cobwebs!
- Fly snacks!
- Nowhere near enough harpsichord!
- So much camera zoom!

Me watching a vampire fully get her tits out and fight a guy topless on #Monsterdon several weeks ago: 😴

Me watching Christopher Lee as a vampire skim his lips over a girl's face: they can't legally show this kind of thing can they 😨

I can buy that Draculas are afraid of a silver crucifix charm, but it's goofy when they're scared of literally every cross, even hand drawn ones.

When they read a book, do they recoil from the letter 't'?

So wait, it's not strangers they needed to warn you against, it's vampires!

Don't get into a van with a vampire makes a lot more sense.

in the novel, Quincey Morris is a cowboy. like a rootin' tootin' cowboy and he's the one who kills Dracula

with a knife

in the novel, Dracula is stabbed to death by a cowboy. any adaptation that doesn't honor that is an adaptation made by cowards

so far i'm not really getting a sense of conflict from the film. some people seem to be becoming draculas but it doesn't seem to be posing a problem. really everyone in this hospital seems to want to go do dracula things and the doctors are preventing them #monsterdon

They hadn't really figured out blood typing at this point in history. Transfusion was quite risky and complicated.

First actual blood banks weren't established until the 1930's in Chicago.

i'm gonna be completely honest i got immediately distracted by the idea of dracula buying a house and struggling with castle maintenance so i don't know what's going on in the movie because i have been reading about stuff like this
ο»Ώο»Ώnts.org.uk/stories/restoration
medievalchronicles.com/medieva
knightstemplar.co/the-challeng

but as usual don't know what is real or an AI spamblog so i am just letting it ride #monsterdon

Lucy: I’m travelling and staying at a strange hospital, but I’m SO GLAD I packed this filmy wedding gown to sleep in.

Mina: okay I guess. I turned my curtains into a choir robe

I don’t know about this Harker guy, but I’m not sure I’d be satisfied with β€œyou were found in an Eastern European river, and now you’re in London”. It’s still bugging me several minutes later. Like, how long was I out? Who shipped me overseas? Why wasn’t I treated in, say Budapest, or even Berlin? #monsterdon

#Monsterdon there are so many doppelgangers in this thing. The mental patient looks like Christopher Lambert. That doctor looked like Gene Hackman. English guy reminded me of Harry Hamlin.

He survived the fall out the window. Oh hooray. LOL.

I am getting word from wikipedia that the painting toilet fly guy is dracula's servant, so that explains why dracula's house is in such disarray and why he needs to move. the plots do converge.

edit: sorry for spoilers i just realized that this movie was in fact "just dracula" and not like a movie set in the dracula universe
