Gonna rub her shoulders until she develops sufficient static charge and sticks to the ceiling.

he’s laying all the cards on the table. Like all at once. It’s a fast trip!

OK, they made a point about having Blacula step through the door before he was invited. That's deliberate, not an oversight.

This band is really good but putting two whole numbers right in the middle of the movie like that is a bit jarring. (And only the guy gets a microphone?)

Quoth @k8eb: "there is _no way_ she is doing those ab crunches while actually singing!"

Hmm I don't love that slur being used to describe our interior decorator heroes

Oh wow, this soundtrack is something else. That synthesized... glass tinkling..?

Feels like #Blacula could be this infomercial on consent.
β€œNeed your partner to join you as an immortal demon feasting on human blood? Try consent! Need your partner to help you dig up a freshly buried body that’s probably a vampire? Try consent! It’s the latest craze that everybody is talking aboutβ€”alive OR dead!” #monsterdon

Okay, I looked it up so I know the proper spelling of his name is Mamuwalde. And it's neither accidental nor incidental, the way Dracula replaces his name with the name Blacula; although they use his real name in the movie, almost anyone watching is just going to end up calling him 'Blacula' πŸ’€ the meta on this is painful #monsterdon

#Blacula is the rare example of a #monsterdon movie that started with a silly premise that was elevated at nearly every turn by the competence of the people that worked on it. A script with something to say and a clear narrative throughline, a fantastic cast in both the starring and supporting roles, great costumes, and a killer soundtrack. What a treat!

I like that in this movie we had someone without a hand still working and enjoying life, and two gay guys. Not for any reason, just, they should be in the movie. #Monsterdon

"This will be your inglorious tomb!"

Blacula seriously has some amazing lines, I'm glad he gets a taunting-the-cops monologue.
