I can see the projection background, so it's obvious something's COMING.

And then poor Frank!

"There's reliable people who've seen flying saucers & little green men from Mars!" That should be the movie they make, not some giant bugs which are physically impossible!

I said, "It sounds to me like you're just feeding soldiers to the giant locusts", and then the Captain began to cry.

I love how when they eat you, you just pose with your arm across your face.

Frank loves being knocked out, and when he's just prone like that, you fiddle with his nipples until he breaks out in full Bob Fosse…

⁉️THE TRIVIA END πŸ¦—πŸ¦—πŸ¦—πŸ¦—πŸ¦—

πŸ‘‚Listen for the Monster Grasshopper sound. It's actually from Katydids which make their calls at night in large numbers.

Many Katydid photos on Masto are misidentified as grasshoppers.
After tonight's feature, let's commit to giving Katydids the respect they deserve.

I gotta say for the time? The effect really is effective.

The actor pretending he's going to get eaten? Not so much.

Fun fact: a locust is just a grasshopper that has had enough triggers turning it into a locust. You can either brush it, or get a bunch of grasshoppers to crawl over it.

Being an entomologist you think he'd know that. If there were enough of those grasshoppers to be locusts, they'd be easily visible from the air.

Surely the military would have had aircraft flying around?
