Reading back through #monsterdon toots it seems we are not alone in trying to rationalized the ending by making it into a time loop.

... looks like if I edit a post it breaks it free of the existing thread and starts a new thread - so the "trick" of running #monsterdon replies in a thread started by another user ( @ysengrin in this case) stops working.

This #monsterdon film actually had a reasonable depiction of a child psychologist.

Usually 1950s films are just when people are starting to realize that psychologists are real doctors, but the writers have no idea what they do.

Well, reasonable except for the part where she assumed the kid was telling the truth once a completely insane astronomer vouched for him.

Damn it, I had decided how I felt about the film and they had to pull the rug out from under me like that. I mean, I hated it, but I have to give credit where it's due, that was a pretty good troll.

Anyway, fewer depictions of violence against children and stock footage of tanks, more weird choirs and beachball aliens next time. #Monsterdon
